«Italianità» is emphasized at our festival, and specifically the first Sunday of the festival 2002 offered a night of Italian superlatives, where two of the most brilliant examples of the Canzone generation encountered each other:
Gianna Nannini, the rocking «Dottoressa» from Siena and Francesco Renga from Udine. Both perfectly combine contemporary American music with the great melodic tradition of the Italian Canzone.
