The band's name calls to mind summer, sun and sea. And when you meet the laid-back members, you'd be inclined to think they came from Florida rather than the far North. Listening to their music makes you think of the big music metropolises like Los Angeles or London: not Helsinki. Yet Sunrise Avenue is Finland's hottest pop export. In 2006 the German TV channel ZDF took their song «Fairytale Gone Bad» as the sound track for their reports on the Tour de France. And front man Samu Haber became the nation's favourite as a panel judge on «The Voice of Germany» talent show. To open the BALOISE SESSION Sunrise Avenue shares the stage with Swiss pop queen Veronica Fusaro.
