Elvis Costello from England and Rebekka Bakken from Norway, the chap wearing a hat and the young lady are united in one concert to bring us two different examples of the very same thing: Innovation combined with authenticity. Costello writes songs, Rebekka Bakken sings. He tells us his own stories and she makes other people’s stories her own. The singer-songwriter and the jazz singer are both unique and unmistakable. These chameleons change colour again and again. They consistently captivate us, and we are willing captives.
