What is better in music: long-term relationships or temporary collaborations? The pianist Joe Sample prefers the first; he has performed with the same people for a lifetime, for example with the singer Randy Crawford. In 1979, they had the hit «Street Life» and this became the foundation of a long music partnership. «Incognito» bandleader Jean-Paul «Bluey» Maunick is less sentimental. Professionalism is his primary concern, no matter how long a musician has been in the band. The result is the same: dance funk that gets you right up on your feet!

The festival management of the BALOISE SESSION announces that Randy Crawford will perform with Leon Bisquera. Joe Sample cannot currently join the tour due to illness. The BALOISE SESSION team sends Joe Sample our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
