Unheilig
Thu, 07. Nov 2013, 9.30 PM | MADE IN GERMANY
Great performing artists from Germany bring powerful emotions to Basel. This great tradition will continue with a new twist. The Count of the band Unheilig from Aachen and Elisa Schmidt from Berlin, who calls herself simply «Schmidt», exemplify the great range of music made in Germany. Adding their dark, warm rock colorations to schlager music, Unheilig has won over millions of fans. Inspired by the raunchy cabaret chanson of the golden twenties, Schmidt adds a contemporary pop sound. Her song «Heart Shaped Gun», which was used as the title song of the TV show «Tatort», filmed in Cologne, catapulted her into the charts.
