Rod Stewart
Wed, 14. Nov 2012, 9 PM | FOREVER YOUNG
To call him an «Old Raincoat» would be an insult. However, the second half of the title of his first album, «An Old Raincoat Won’t Ever Let You Down», which he released in 1970, says it all: Rod Stewart never lets anyone down. The British star with the gentle, gritty voice, who stormed the ZDF hit parade with his feathered hair in the 70s and 80s, has also established himself as a great crooner with his Great American Songbook album series. In Basel, hits like «Sailing», «Baby Jane» «Da Ya Think I’m Sexy» were not missing. Opening the night for him was the Basel indie pop collective «We Invented Paris», who have already achieved regional cult status.
