Anyone who has ever heard the big voices of the Manhattan Transfer live, knows just how much big fun is on the cards this evening. The Manhattan Transfer set the benchmark for close harmony singing, swinging effortlessly and with perfect control through everything from voice-stretching work-outs to satin-soft pop songs. And for tonight only they will be backed by the multi-award-winning BBC Big Band!
Freddie Cole comes from a similar background. The «Great American Songbook» is his bible, and he tells the tales of love requited and broken dreams spun by Gershwin, Porter and others in a way that makes them sound as though they were written only yesterday.
