A thrilling combination with enigmatic commonalities: the English-Egyptian Diva Natacha Atlas («Transglobal Underground») and the Irish dream voice Moya Brennan («Clannad») combine roots in the mythical musical traditions with a modern sound feeling from ethno-pop to ambient. Wheras Natacha uses oriental harmonies, Moya delves into the rich melodies of the «Emerald Isles». Both open up a new corridor through the centuries for us, from «One Thousand and one Nights» to the Celtic legends. And both import these ancient works straight into the 21st century.
