Bill Wyman and The Rhythm Kings
Thu, 11. Nov 2004, 8 PM | KINGS & QUEENS
A great African-American voice between funk, soul and jazz – and a rock’n’roll legend on the trail of blues and boogie: that was the promise of the double concert with Chaka Khan and the former «Rolling Stone» Bill Wyman along with his current band «The Rhythm Kings». Both share a deep connection to the entire «black», specifically Afro-American music of the 20th century. Whereas Chaka Khan stands for its modern forms up to hiphop, the group around Wyman reminds us of the times when R&B was still called Rhythm & Blues – and the Blues part was written in capital letters.
