The legendary co-frontman of what is probably the best-known English pub rock band, Dr. Feelgood, brought his men to Basel. The band had so many gigs that they only could take a two-week vacation. They were definitely influenced by Ian Dury’s Blockheads and The Pirates. Hard-hitting rhythm ‘n‘ blues with tempo was the order of the day. Wilko’s spectacular splits in the air got the Basel audience on their feet.
