John McLaughlin Trio

Nina Corti’s performance in 1991 delivered an exciting evening of dance (her only performance in Switzerland) to Basel’s enthusiastic audiences. Nina Corti was thrilled about the event and about collaborating with John McLaughlin and his trio. By incorporating gypsy music as well as jazz and having live instrumentalists integrated in her performances, she consistently changed and rejuvenated her art in a lasting way. Like Nina Corti, the guitar virtuoso John McLaughlin has been open to other music styles throughout his career. His percussionist Trilok Gurtu alone made the concert worth seeing.
