Dizzy Gillespie & United Nation All Star Orchestra
Tue, 23. Oct 1990, 8 PM | JAZZ
Festsaal, Mustermesse Basel
Dizzy Gillespie, the trumpet player with the pouched cheeks, was clearly one of the milestones of jazz history: An honour which the old master Miles Davis bestowed upon him with no sign of envy. The 15-piece-orchestra (including greats like Arturo Sandoval, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim and James Moody) was one of the major highlights of the 1990 jazz year.
