Hubert von Goisern
Sun, 09. Nov 2008, 8 PM | Man singt Deutsch
Singing a song that touches the heart and the soul is a great art. Two singers who have this unique ability appeared under the motto «Man singt Deutsch» (One sings in German). The irony is intentional: Hubert von Goisern, one of the most creative and multi-faceted virtuosos in Austria, who journeys between volksmusik, rock and pop with the greatest of ease, is known for performances which are not only funny and clever, but also profound.
He joined Peter Maffay, one of Germany’s primal rock poets. He, too, creates a seamless interplay of pop tunes and thoughtful ballads. Both performers made for an evening laden with popular songs and rock n’ roll moments and full of hearty and heartfelt emotion.
