If evidence is necessary that blues is not dead, then Taj Mahal is delivering it on an assembly line. He has been on the road in all things blues for over 45 years - and at the festival edition 2000 he brought along his hottest project: with the «Phantom Blues Band», who cultivate the classic rhythm’n’blues of the fifties and sixties – and who with their studio album «Señor Blues» recently captured one of the coveted «Grammy Awards». During this sojourn he met another passionate music explorer, David Lindley, a magician on string instruments from the electric guitar to the Greek Bouzouki.
